Tuesday Sports Update

A new stadium for the Atlanta Braves, a former Gator activated in the NFL and more in our Tuesday sports update…

** Hard to believe but Turner Field in Atlanta will no longer be the home for the Atlanta Braves.   The Braves announced they would move to a 42,000 seat facility in suburban Cobb County in 2017.   Turner Field is only 17 years old.

** Former Gator Percy Harvin has been activated by the Seattle Seahawks.   Harvin has missed the entire NFL season to date with an injury.

** The Orlando Magic fall to the Boston Celtics for the second time in four days, losing 120-105 Monday night.

** Rookie of the Year awards announced for baseball include Tampa Bay’s Wil Myers winning it in the American League and Miami pitcher Jose Fernandez winning it in the National League.

** The St. Francis Wolves are in the Class 3A state semifinals in high school volleyball today.   They face Miami Westminster Christian.
