Muschamp Fires Pease, Davis From UF Coaching Staff

University of Florida football coach Will Muschamp on Sunday fired offensive coordinator Brent Pease and offensive line coach Tim Davis.

The announcement was officially made Sunday afternoon.   Muschamp in a release thanked both Pease and Davis for their service and there was no indication of who would be hired to take their places on the staff or a timetable for making the new hires.

Florida finished its season Saturday with a 37-7 loss to FSU, ending its season 4-8 for its worst year since 1979.   The offense was mostly ineffective during the season in part because of injury but also because the offensive line did not block well and because there were just not enough explosive plays made on that side of the ball.
