New BCS Standings, NBA News, NFL Too In Monday Sports Update

A shakeup in the BCS standings, a potentially excellent Monday Night Football clash and more in our Monday Sports Update…

** After Auburn’s incredible win over Alabama in the Iron Bowl, the Tigers move up to number three in the new BCS standings behind new number one Florida State and number two Ohio State.   Alabama falls to fourth with Missouri fifth.

** The dust settles now on the college football postseason with numerous conference championship games slated for this weekend.   The SEC has Auburn facing Missouri; the Big 10 has Ohio State taking on Michigan State; the ACC has upstart Duke facing FSU, and the Pac 12 has Stanford taking on Arizona State.

** The SEC will again have a great number of teams eligible for bowl games.   Missouri, South Carolina, Vanderbilt, Georgia, Alabama, Auburn, LSU, Texas A&M, Ole Miss and Mississippi State will all be going bowling.

** It should be a good Monday Night Football clash when the Seattle Seahawks host the New Orleans Saints tonight.   Both teams are among the best in the NFL.

** The Miami Heat won their 10th straight game, knocking off the Charlotte Bobcats 99-98.   Miami is 14-3 on the season.   Orlando is at Washington tonight while the Heat have the night off before playing Detroit at home Tuesday.
