Here’s some of what is going on in sports in our Thursday Sports Update…
** Today is the day FSU quarterback Jameis Winston finds out if he will be charged with sexual battery in the wake of allegations made by a fellow FSU student who claims Winston raped her. The State Attorney in Tallahassee will announce the findings in the case.
** College football tonight as Charlie Strong’s Louisville Cardinals face Cincinnati in their final regular season game. The Cardinals are looking to go 11-1 on the year.
** NFL game tonight has Jacksonville hosting the reeling Houston Texans who have lost 10 straight, including a game against the Jags a couple of weeks ago.
** Pittsburgh Steelers coach Mike Tomlin is fined $100,00 by the NFL for his interference in a kickoff return against the Baltimore Ravens a few days ago; the team could also lose draft choices as well.
** In men’s college basketball, top ranked Michigan State is bumped off by North Carolina 79-65; the Tar Heels improve to 5-2 on the year.
** In baseball, free agent pitcher Joe Nathan signs with Detroit; Paul Konerko returns to the Chicago White Sox and San Francisco re-signs pitcher Ryan Vogelsong.
