Gator Men’s Hoops Routs Savannah State

The Florida men’s basketball team uses a stifling defense and enough offense to rout visiting Savannah State 76-34 Sunday.

Gator senior center Patric Young scores 15 points to lead a balanced Gator attack and in the process Young becomes a member of the 1,000 career point club for Florida.   He is the 50th Gator player to reach the 1,000 point mark.

Florida again shot poorly from the free throw line (19 of 34) and that issue may have to be fixed before the start of SEC play next month.

The Gators have one more non-conference game to play and that will take place Saturday when Florida hosts Richmond.
