SEC Swim Championships, Olympics, Highlight Sports Update For Tuesday

Gator sports, Olympics, and more in our Tuesday Sports Update..

** The SEC Swimming and Diving Championships start today in Athens, Georgia.  Florida’s men are number one in the country and the Gator women are ranked eighth going into the meet.

** The Gator women’s tennis team faces Florida State today at 4pm.  Florida is 6-1 on the year and has won 19 straight matches against in-state opponents.

** At the Olympics in Sochi, the U.S. wins gold in ice dancing and a bronze in two man bobsled.  The U.S. women’s hockey team advances to the gold medal round with a win over Sweden.

** SEC men’s hoops tonight as Ole Miss hosts Kentucky and Georgia visits Tennessee as the SEC continues to search for teams worthy of an NCAA Tournament invite.

** In local high school hoops, boys regional finals tonight will have Eastside, GHS, Hawthorne, Santa Fe, Bronson, Williston, Chiefland and Fort White looking to advance.

** The NBA resumes after its All Star Game break.  Orlando is at Milwaukee while Miami visits Dallas.
