Gator Women’s Hoops Gets Big win At Vandy

The Florida women’s basketball team is on the bubble for the NCAA Tournament according to many but its place on the bubble may have become more secure after a big road win at Vanderbilt on Thursday, winning 73-68.

Florida led by as many as 17 points early but Vandy cut the lead to just two points with under a minute to play in the game.?? But in the final 61 seconds of the game, Florida hit 9 of 12 free throws to ice the game.

Senior guard Jaterra Bonds led the way for Florida with 18 points on the night.? The win pushes Florida to 8-7 in SEC play and to 18-10 on the year while Vanderbilt falls to 7-8 in the SEC and to 18-9 overall.

Florida has its final regular season game Sunday when it hosts nationally ranked Texas A&M.
