Florida Football Opens Spring Practice Today

The Florida Gator football team will be opening spring practice today at 3:35. The Gators will be looking to bounce back from a dismal 4-8 season, which saw the team have multiple injuries. Florida head coach Will Muschamp says that only a few players will be held out of spring football, due to injuries.

“The only three guys that are totally out of spring right now are Matt Rolin, Jeremi Powell, and Alex Anzalone,” Muschamp said. “Guys are working hard in the offseason program, very pleased with how that is going at this time. Some other guys will be limited in spring, but no one is going to be totally out other than those three at this time.”

Florida will be unveiling a new offense this spring, and people will have the opportunity to see the progress that offense has made during the offseason starting today. New offensive coordinator Kurt Roper says that players are adjusting to the offense appropriately.

“The skill players love it, because they don’t have to run back to a huddle and then run out,” Roper said. “It actually conserves their energy, so it’s actually a good adjustment for skill players, the linemen it’s the biggest change for, because they’re in a stance.”

Today’s practice will be open to the public.
