Florida Baseball to Face Familiar Foe

The Florida baseball team (15-9) will go toe-to-toe with top-ranked FSU (19-4) Tuesday night at the Baseball Grounds of Jacksonville in their second meeting of the season.

The Gators defeated the Seminoles 3-1 last Tuesday at home, marking Florida’s first win over a number one-ranked team since April 10, 2012.

Senior righty Peter Miller will make the start for Florida State in Jacksonville. Miller also took the mound last Tuesday in Gainesville, giving up two runs on three hits in the 5.1 innings he pitched.  Florida’s starter is to be announced.

After dropping two out of three at Texas A&M, Florida is looking to bounce back and bring home a win.  The Gators have had a lot of hits recently (37 in their last three games) but have only scored 21 runs in their last seven games.   However, Florida’s pitching for the most part has been solid, helping them win some close games.

Make sure to tune in to Country 103.7 the Gator starting at 5:55 pm to catch all the action live from the Baseball Grounds of Jacksonville.
