Fourth-Ranked Gator Softball Looks to Bounce Back Against UCF

After dropping two of three against now seventh-ranked Alabama (27-5, 8-1 SEC), the Florida softball team now set its sights on UCF tonight. The Gators (30-4, 5-4 SEC) will travel to Orlando to face Sunshine State rival Central Florida (24-10, 3-0 American).

Florida is 25-0 against nonconference opponents during the 2014 campaign. The Orange and Blue are the only SEC team that has not lost out of conference.

This game marks the first time the teams have met in almost a year; the last time the teams played Florida was a 6-1 winner. The Gators lead the all-time series against the Knights 13-3.

After Wednesday’s game, the Gators will travel to Knoxville, Tennessee, for three games against No. 2/3 Tennessee.

First pitch for Wednesday’s matchup is scheduled for 6pm and you can catch the game on ESPN 850 WRUF.
