NFL Draft Today

After months of talk and speculation, the NFL Draft finally begins tonight in New York with the Houston Texans on the clock. Houston has the number one pick and most expect the Texans to draft South Carolina defensive end Jadaveon Clowney. St.Louis has the second pick and Jacksonville will select third. Tampa Bay has the seventh pick and Miami will select later in the first round, barring any trades.

Florida does not have a high profile player in the draft but several players could be selected in the mid rounds. Defensive lineman Dominique Easley is probably the first Gator that will be drafted and experts have him going in either the second or the third round. Other defensive players like cornerbacks Marcus Roberson and Louchiez Purifoy are also expected to be taken; some have Roberson going in the third round as well. Players like Trey Burton, Jonatthan Harrison and Solomon Patton are also hoping to have their names called over the weekend.
