Gator Baseball Travels To Tennessee For Final Season Series

The No. 13 Florida Gator Baseball team travels for its last regular season series against Tennessee in hopes of the program’s 13th SEC title.  Entering the final three-game set, the Gators (35-18/19-8 SEC) are currently two games ahead of No. 14 Ole Miss (38-15/17-10 SEC) and lead in the Eastern Division over No. 8 South Carolina (40-13/16-11 SEC) and No. 9 Vanderbilt (39-14/16-11 SEC).

Under head coach Kevin O’Sullivan Florida is 13-5 against Tennessee, with a 5-4 record on the road. The Orange and Blue have taken the last five regular-season series from the Volunteers. Game times will be at 6 p.m. both Thursday and Friday and on 1pm on Saturday.

Gator freshman righty Logan Shore (7-2, 1.47) will square off against Vol freshman righty Hunter Martin (4-3, 2.85) to begin the series matchup Thursday night. Shore is coming off throwing 7.1 shutout innings against Vanderbilt along with being named SEC Freshman of the Week for the first time on Monday.

Florida is coming off its first SEC series loss of the year in Gainesville after falling two of three games to Vanderbilt last weekend, but are sitting at 14-8 (.636) against ranked opponents this season.
