** The NBA vs. Donald Sterling trial is underway in Los Angeles. The trial is taking place as a way for the league to force Sterling out as owner of the Los Angeles Clippers.
** In baseball, former Rays pitcher James Shields was terrific as his Kansas City Royals beat the Rays 6-0 on Monday. Atlanta lost 4-3 to the New York Mets and Miami loses 9-1 at Arizona.
** The NCAA has “suggested” contact limits during practices preparing for regular season games. The NCAA is asking that at most just two contact practices be conducted during game weeks but there were also suggestions made to limit contact practices during preseason and spring football.
