Eastside High (1-3, 1-0) will travel to battle district 5A rival North Marion (2-2, 1-0) in Citra tonight in high school football action.
The Rams are coming off a 41-22 trashing of Belleview last week at Citizen’s Field while the Colts hope to bounce back after a close 30-26 loss to Suwannee.
Eastside head coach Jeff Parker says it’s going to come down to limiting turnovers on the road.
“We’ve got to execute, we’ve got to take care of the football,” said Parker. “We’ve got to minimize mistakes. To go down to their place, which is a special high school environment, our kids will have to be able to cope with that and be able to execute to be successful.”
Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m.
** The Santa Fe Raiders (2-2, 0-2) will host the Interlachen Rams (0-4, 0-0) tonight.
Raiders head coach Bill Wiles knows that Interlachen is hungry for its first win.
“The’vey got athletic kids,” said coach Wiles. “I know they haven’t won a lot, they do have athletes, and the thing that scares you about a team like that is that you know that they’re trying to win.”
Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m.
** The P.K. Yonge Blue Wave (2-0, 0-0) will take on the Hawthorne Hornets (1-3, 0-1) at 7:30 p.m.
