** Freshman Treon Harris will get the start for the Florida football team when it plays Georgia next week; the announcement made by coach Will Muschamp on the SEC Teleconference Wednesday.
** Georgia may have star running back Todd Gurley back for that game as well as the school has officially filed with the NCAA to have Gurley reinstated after he sat out two games while an investigation took place into alleged autographs Gurley may have signed that appeared on for sale websites.
** NFL football tonight as the Denver Broncos facing the San Diego Chargers in a key AFC West game.
** College football tonight has nationally ranked East Carolina facing Connecticut and Miami facing Virginia Tech in the ACC.
** In local high school football, some games are being played tonight. Eastside is hosting Dunnellon and Santa Fe is at North Marion.
** The World Series is now tied at one game each after the Kansas City Royals beat the San Francisco Giants 7-2 last night. Game 3 Friday in San Francisco.
** The Gator men’s basketball team was picked to finish second in the SEC behind Kentucky in a media poll at SEC Media Days yesterday. Florida guard Michael Frazier II was named a first team All-SEC player as well.
