** The Florida women’s basketball team sees its season end at the SEC Tournament Wednesday with a blowout 71-49 loss to Auburn. In the night’s other game, Vanderbilt downs Alabama 66-56.
** The Gator baseball team moves to 11-2 on the year after blowing out UCF 10-2 Wednesday night in Gainesville; next Florida hosts Maine this weekend.
** The Florida softball team moves to 22-0 with a 10-1 win over Long Beach State; the Gators will play more games today in a tournament in California.
** Former Gator baseball coach Joe Arnold and former big league player and Gainesville resident Rick Reichardt are among those named to the College Baseball Hall of Fame; they will be inducted in Texas later this year.
** In SEC men’s hoops, Tennessee upsets LSU 78-63 and red hot Vanderbilt beats Mississippi State 66-56.
** In the NBA, Phoenix downs Orlando 105-100 and Miami beats the LA Lakers 100-94.
** Reports say quarterback Peyton Manning will return to the Denver Broncos and play in the 2015 season. He will take a pay cut and will still have to pass a physical to play.
