The Florida men’s basketball team ends what has been an injury plagued and inconsistent regular season today with a game at top ranked and unbeaten Kentucky.
What a difference a year makes; last year, Florida beat Kentucky three times on its way to a perfect SEC record and a Final Four appearance.
This year, Kentucky is number one, going for an unbeaten regular season in the SEC and for an overall unbeaten record heading into the postseason.
Florida did get some good news on the injury front when coach Billy Donovan said guard Michael Frazier II will make the trip and likely be available to play after he has missed the last several games with an ankle injury.
Even with Frazier back, it will be a tall order to beat a Wildcats team at home playing for what it is playing for in the game.
Florida (15-15, 8-9 SEC) is also trying to get some momentum for the SEC Tournament which begins next week. Many believe if UF loses to Kentucky that one win in the SEC Tournament would secure them an NIT berth even though the team would have a losing record.
You can hear the game live today starting at 1:25 pm on Country 103-7 The Gator.
