** March Madness resumes today with the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament and the Sweet 16.
** The Gator baseball team opens a three game series tonight with Alabama in Gainesville. Senior Aaron Rhodes will start on the mound for Florida and ESPN 850 WRUF has live coverage starting at 6:55 pm.
** The Florida men’s swimming team competes in the NCAA Championships starting today in Iowa City, Iowa.
** Miami Marlins pitcher Jarred Cosart is being investigated by Major League Baseball for alleged comments he made on Twitter about gambling. If you bet against your team, a player faces a lifetime ban from baseball and if you bet on a game you are not playing in you can also be disciplined.
** In the NBA, Miami downs Boston 93-86 to keep the seventh spot in the Eastern Conference playoff picture. Atlanta beat Orlando 95-83.
** LSU forward Jarell Martin will declare for the NBA Draft; he is a sophomore. He averaged nearly 17 points a game for the Tigers this past season.
