Friday Sports Update…Bye Bye Michael Frazier II (3/27)

March Madness continues, Gator basketball loses a veteran, more Gator sports and more in our Friday Sports Update…

** Florida shooting guard Michael Frazier II is leaving the school to become eligible for the NBA Draft.   He still has the option to change his mind but multiple reports say he will not return to school.

** Gator baseball and softball start SEC series today.   Baseball plays a doubleheader with Alabama today starting at 3 pm while softball opens a series at Mississippi State.

** The Gator men’s swim team continues action at the NCAA’s in Iowa City, Iowa this weekend.  Florida is third after the first day of competition.

** Florida gymnast Kytra Hunter is named the SEC Gymnast of the Year.  UF’s Kennedy Baker shares SEC Freshman of the Year honors as well.

** March Madness continues tonight after action last night that sees Kentucky, Notre Dame, Wisconsin and Arizona move on with wins.  The Sweet 16 for the women’s tournament starts tomorrow.
