Senior University of Florida linebacker Antonio Morrison spoke with the media for the first time on Tuesday evening since recovering from last year’s knee injury. Morrison injured his knee during the Birmingham Bowl last year and required two surgeries. Florida coach Jim McElwain said Monday an injury like his typically takes 10-12 months to recover, but the linebacker pushed himself to be ready for the season opener this weekend against New Mexico State. “I don’t think it’s a miracle, I mean I put the work in. I got a great doctor like I said, great training staff, the best in the country, and I am here now,” Morrison said. Morrison led the team in tackles last year with 101, and he believes with himself added to the roster and with the other linebackers on defense, they can make a stand this year to be one of the best. “We got the best linebacker core in the country. I promise you these guys, all of them are going to be better than me; (Alex) Anzalone, (Daniel) McMillian, (Jeremi) Powell, Jarrad Davis, they all going to be better than me. I’m the least athletic out of all of them, either way we got a great linebacking core whether I’m in there or not,” Morrison said. Florida will have practice Wednesday before taking on New Mexico State on cialis
