The Georgia Bulldogs and the Missouri Tigers are facing off in a game with great implications. The Bulldogs and Tigers are both 4-2 this season, and have a chance to save their respective seasons.
Interestingly enough, at the start of the season the Bulldogs looked to many like an elite team; running back Nick Chubb was going put the team on his back and lead the Bulldogs to the promised land.
That changed once Georgia played Alabama and got crushed. Then last week, the Bulldogs lost at Tennessee and likely lost Chubb for the season with a knee injury.
Missouri entered the season as two time defending SEC East champions but they come off a home loss to Florida last week. The Tigers also lost to Kentucky.
Mizzou coach Gary Pinkel knows his team needs to be better, especially on the offensive side of the ball.
“Obviously, you know, we’re going to have to play better as a team,” he said.
The Tigers are excellent on defense but struggling on offense; they are dead last in the SEC in scoring and near the bottom in total offensive yards in the SEC.
Mizzou freshman quarterback Drew Lock will start again after struggling last week against an excellent Florida defense.
Game time: Missouri at Georgia at 7:30 pm
