The Miami Heat are now 10-6 on the season after losing to the Boston Celtics 105-95 Monday night at the American Airlines Arena.
A big reason the Heat lost their flame was Boston’s Avery Bradley, who scored a team high 25 points with three assists, three steals, and a block. He also forced a big turnover late in the game to help secure the win.
Even with great scoring games from Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh, who scored 30 and 21 points respectively, the rest of Heat team did not seem to deliver as no other player scored more than 10 points. The Heat suffered through 18 turnovers and Boston made 15 steals.
Miami made it a one possession game on five separate occasions in the final 14 minutes of the game but could not overtake the Celtics in the end.
Wade says the defense by the Heat in the fourth quarter was one of the reasons the team lost the game. And Chris Bosh says the 18 turnovers by Miami fueled the Celtics to victory as well.
Miami coach Erik Spoelstra says that the Celtics played a pretty solid game.
Boston has won at least one game at Miami in nine of the last 10 seasons.
Miami next takes the court on Thursday against coach Billy Donovan and the Oklahoma City Thunder.
