Behind great team defense and a rejuvenated roster, the Orlando Magic hope to gain their fourth straight victory tonight against the Minnesota Timberwolves at 8pm. The team has really come on in the month of November winning its last eight of 12 games behind the play of shooting guard, Victor Oladipo. Oladipo led the Magic Sunday with 19 points, eight boards and six assists against the Boston Celtics and has shot 43.6% in his last three games. Channing Frye has also made an impact behind the arc shooting nine for 14 from three point land in his last four games.
The Minnesota Timberwolves come off a hard fought loss to the Los Angeles Clipper Sunday 107-99. With point guard Ricky Rubio questionable due to a sore left ankle, Zach Lavine entered the starting lineup last Friday and never looked back. The young high-flying star had 18 points and seven assists in the loss.
In the last matchup between the two teams overtime was needed to decide a winner. The Magic came out victorious 104-101 on November 18 after Evan Fournier hit a go-ahead three-pointer with seconds remaining. Two young Minnesota stars did however have great games. Andrew Wiggins had 28 points and Karl-Anthony Towns had a double-double with 21 points and 12 rebounds.
With the teams looking comparable in record: Magic (9-8) Timberwolves (8-9), this game will be one to watch.
