Orlando Magic Fall to Oklahoma City Thunder

The Orlando Magic fell to the Oklahoma City Thunder in a heartbreaking 117-114 loss last night. The game was tied at 114 in the final seconds when Kevin Durant took control and ended the game with a buzzer-beating three-pointer. Durant scored 37 points and guard Russell Westbrook posted his third consecutive triple-double adding 24 points, a career high 19 rebounds and 14 assists, to help pull out the win for the Thunder.

For the Magic, guard Victor Oladipo lead Orlando with 37 points. Oladipo says this was a tough loss, you can’t really describe it, it’s heat breaking.  The Magic have now lost 14 of their last 16 games.

Thunder Head Coach Bill Donovan  commended Orlando for a hard fought game. Donovan says they are a really good team, they play hard and physical, as a young team they are gaining more experience.

The Thunder were up by one point at halftime, and the game stayed close until the end. With the game on the line, Durant knocked down the game winner. He says that left and right cross over, I’ve been working on that since I was six years old, I felt confident in the shot when I let it go.

After losing two straight games on the road, the Orlando Magic will be back in action at home Friday February 5. Tipoff against the Los Angeles Clippers is set for 7:00 p.m.
