High School Football preview: Eastside takes on North Marion

North Marion (0-4) and Eastside (2-2) go head to head this Friday at 7:30 P.M.

Eastside

Eastside won two games in a matter of four days last week.  Newberry 33-28 and Lake Weir 41-28, now the Rams will face the North Marion Colts.

Winning in Citra would be another step for the team. This game will be great preparation for the Belleview and Eastside game on October 13. One of biggest games on the schedule this season.

Rams have a standout sophomore quarterback Anthony Richardson who will help the team as they look for their third win of the season.

North Marion

North Marion is chasing their first win of the season. Last weekend, the Colts couldn’t even score when they faced the Gainesville Hurricanes. The host Colts are a young and struggling team looking to get their first taste of success this year.

The Matchup

Last year, the Colts really took it the Rams winning 35-0.

This match is expected to be much closer since the teams have similar state rankings. North Marion at 268th and Eastside 271st so it should be a good matchup.
