Duke Blue Devils head coach Mike Krzyzewski picked up his 1000th win at Duke as the Blue Devils dominated Utah Valley 99-69.

Success at Duke
In his time at Duke, Krzyzewski has led the Blue Devils to five national championships (1991, 1992, 2001, 2010, 2015.) Duke has been to the final four 12 times and has won the ACC championship 13 times under Krzyzewski. Since the 1983-84 season, Duke has made the NCAA tournament every season except for the 1994-95 season in which Coach K had to stop coaching due to back surgery. Krzyzewski has twice been the Basketball Times National Coach of the Year and has also been named the Naismith College Coach of the Year three times. He has also been the ACC Coach of the Year five times.
This Year’s Blue Devils
Duke entered this college basketball season ranked number one overall and has started the season 2-0 behind their very talented freshman class. In the win over Utah Valley, Duke’s freshman scored the first 40 points of the game before an upperclassman would score. Duke continues to be supremely talented almost every year, and with a coach as good as Mike Krzyzewski they could be looking at yet another fantastic season.
