Although many are unable to shed pounds fast or build mounds of muscle they desire, a recent University of Florida study shows that simply the act of exercise itself can improve body image. Associate Proefessor of Applied Physiology Heather Hausenblaus says people with a negative body image may initiate in negative, dangerous behavior. She says simple healthy activity combined with exercise can have a very positive effect. The study is the first to systematically analyze wide ranging effects of exercise on body image.
