The Florida State Seminoles finally grab their first win under their belt for the 2017 season.
Quarter Blackman Struggles:
There is no assumption to the Seminoles that their freshmen quarterback, James Blackman had a very tough job going into Saturdays game vs Wake Forest. Blackman has been struggling since his first shot at QB vs the top contending team, Alabama. Being Florida States first true freshmen quarterback, Blackman has a lot on his shoulders taking on big shoes for Deondre Francois, that left early on their season opener with a patella tendon injury for the season. Thought this game vs Wake Forest he often caught himself struggling in the beginning, by getting sacked numerous times question the offensive lines presence during the game. Blackman was able to over come that shaky start, and connect with receiver, Auden Tate for a game winning miracle catch 40-yards later.Due to two or three major plays in the game, Florida State was able to uphold themselves against this unbeaten Wake Forest team.

Key plays to beating Wake Forest:
Although the 40-yard catch in the end zone put the icing on the cake for Florida States win on Saturday , their were many other key plays in their success. Jacques Patrick had an amazing game that lead to many runs throughout the game , with a 19-carrys,120-yards , which also happen to be the first rushing touchdown of the 2017 season. Ricky Aguayo really came thru for the Seminoles going two for two in field goal attempts.
The Florida State Seminoles move on into their season at 1-2 starting since 1989, being the worst start ever for Florida State. They hope to keep up the winning streak going , leaning into Saturdays game vs rival , Miami University. This will be yet another ACC play home opener for the seminoles , beating the ducks for the past six to seven years.
