T-Storms Possible Monday Afternoon

A disturbance moving out of the Gulf of Mexico, combined with a generous amount of moisture already in place across the peninsula, will likely trigger a few thunderstorms late Monday afternoon across North-Central Florida.  This activity is well ahead of an approaching cold front that will bring even more beneficial rain to The Sunshine State on Tuesday.  Monday’s storms will NOT be widespread, but they could contain some locally heavy downpours and a few clusters of intense cloud-to-ground lightning, something many Floridians haven’t seen since early October.
