WHEN: Today 4 to 9 pm
WHERE: Most-likely in Alachua, Citrus, Dixie, Levy, Marion, and Sumter counties (see map)
THREATS: Wind damage, hail up to nickel size, frequent lightning, local flooding
DISCUSSION: A weak cold front will take advantage of plenty of daytime heating this afternoon to produce strong thunderstorms. These storms could potentially reach severe limits, especially where they intersect the sea breezes from both coasts…which is most-likely in our southern counties. Storm motion will be slow and erratic, but generally to the south-southwest at 10 mph.
