Northwestern Football Players To Vote On Union
Football players at Northwestern University are voting to decide whether or not they want to become unionized.
A recent ruling now allows football players playing for private institutions to have the right to vote to possibly unionize.
The NCAA has vigorously opposed unionization and, pending full approval by the NCAA, it has passed legislation that would allow the five power conferences in college football to move forward with things such as full cost of attendance in scholarships, more and better health care for players and even a possible hard and fast break times for sports to allow athletes to possibly work and gain income.
