Can Cleveland move past this rough patch?

12 losses in the last 18 games. The Cleveland Cavaliers are at a rough point to say the least. After their embarrassing loss to the Houston Rockets (120-88) on Saturday, one question is on everyone’s mind – What is wrong with the Cavaliers?

The Cavaliers have lost their last eight nationally-televised games. And while they are third in the Eastern Conference standings, Cleveland appears to be declining more and more each game. Head coach for the Cleveland Cavaliers, Tyronn Lue, says the team needs to improve their defense. In a tweet from the Cleveland Cavaliers, a dismal looking LeBron James says the team needs to look forward and start playing better.

Point Guard Isaiah Thomas says that the Cavs are not playing together as a team.

According to ESPN, the Cavs spent their Monday practice focusing on shooting. In their most recent game, Cleveland shot just 39.1 percent as a team. Overall, the Cavs need to regroup together as a team despite their individual frustrations in losing so many games.

Cleveland is Still Optimistic

Although Cleveland has recently had horrible performances, Lue says he believes Cleveland will make it to the playoffs. Despite the fact the team is 30-21 with 31 games left to play, Lebron also agrees that the playoffs are still possible.

What is to come for the Cavs?

Even though Cleveland is experiencing shortcomings right now, Lue is not concerned about losing his job. He said he is focusing on his team and getting them where they need to be in order to succeed. In regards to LeBron James, while he is going to be a free agent this summer, he is focused on this season and this team.

The Cavs are set to play against the Orlando Magic on 2/6 at 7 p.m.
