After their most recent win over Mississippi State, the Florida volleyball team (16-3,10-0) is now on an 11 game win streak. The streak started back on September 21st with their win over UCF.
“There’s nothing like that experience of being in the O’Connell center playing an opponent, and learning from those experiences,” said head coach Mary Wise. “It’s a group of people that work really, really hard.”
Wise also spoke about how her players help each other get better daily.
“Alex (Holston) is a better hitter today because she has to hit against Denise (Belcher) every day in practice. Simone (Antwi) and Rhamat (Alhassan) are better every day because they have to go against Shainah (Joseph) every day,” said Wise.
“You’re only as good as your least experienced player, because that’s who you have to practice against.”
Florida looks to stretch the streak to 12 Wednesday when they take on the Georgia Bulldogs in the O’Connell Center. You can catch the game on ESPN 850 WRUF, with coverage beginning at 6:50pm.
