Monday Sports Update (1/26)

A milestone win for a college basketball coach, a nice win for Gator women’s basketball, Super Bowl week and good news for Gator football in our Monday Sports Update…

** Duke men’s basketball coach Mike Krzyzewski celebrates his 1,000th career win today after Duke beat St.John’s 77-68 yesterday in Madison Square Garden in New York.

** The Florida women’s basketball team is now 10-10 on the year after whipping Arkansas 72-58.  Up next Missouri at home Thursday.

** The Gator football program picks up a verbal commitment from linebacker Rayshad Jackson from Miami.   Two other prospects who have Florida on their list are scheduled to make their final decisions today.

** In the NBA, Miami downs Chicago 96-84 while Orlando loses to Indiana 106-99.  Orlando is at Memphis tonight while Miami is off.

** Super Bowl Week is finally here as the New England Patriots and the Seattle Seahawks get set to play in Arizona this weekend.

** And if anyone cares, the Pro Bowl team coached by Michael Irvin beat the team coached by Cris Carter 32-28.

** And the NHL All Star Game is history as Team Toews tops Team Foligno 17-12.
