More good news for the Gator football program, big game for Gator men’s basketball, NASCAR’s format and more in our Tuesday Sports Update…

** The Gator football program pulls in two more verbal commitments.   For the 2015 class defensive lineman Jabari Zuniga switches from NC State to UF.   The Gators also get a 2016 verbal commitment from Jacksonville wide receiver Rick Wells.

** The Florida men’s basketball team tries to break a three game SEC losing streak when it visits Alabama tonight.

** “Deflate Gate” has a new twist today; the NFL is looking at a Patriots locker room attendant who apparently took game footballs from the locker room to another area before the AFC Championship game with the Colts.

** The LPGA’s first tour event of the year starts tomorrow and Ocala is the host city for the event.

** NASCAR says it will leave its championship format intact for next year.   Officials say they like the elimination style format that culminates in a winner take all race involving four drivers.

** In the NBA, Memphis downs Orlando 103-94.  The Magic are off tonight while Miami hosts Milwaukee.
