Gator Men’s Hoops Loses To Wildcats; SEC Tournament Next
The regular season has come to an end for the Florida men’s basketball team and it ends with a road loss to top ranked Kentucky on Saturday by a 67-50 score. Florida hung tough with the Cats until the final 10 minutes of the game when Kentucky’s size and length proved too
much for the Gators. Florida guard Kasey Hill leads the team with 15 points. However, Florida committed 17 turnovers in the game, many of them late, to help the Wildcats remain unbeaten as they complete an undefeated SEC season, just as Florida had done last year. Up next is the SEC Tournament this week in Nashville, Tennessee. Mississippi State and Auburn and Missouri and South Carolina kick off the affair Wednesday and Florida, the eight seed, will face nine seed Alabama on Thursday.
