The Missouri baseball team got an excellent pitching performance from starter Tanner Houck and hit three home runs to support it in beating the Florida Gators 10-1 Saturday in Columbia, Missouri.
Houck (5-1) pitched eight innings and allowed only one run in getting the win. He got offensive support early against Florida starter and loser AJ Puk (5-3) who gave up nine runs in five and a third innings of work.
Missouri scored three runs in the second and third innings to put the game away early. The Tigers hit two homers in the second inning and one in a four run sixth inning as part of a 10 hit attack.
Florida scored its lone run in the eighth inning on an RBI double by Josh Tobias.
Missouri (21-11, 7-4 SEC) and Florida (24-8, 6-5 SEC) conclude their series Sunday; you can hear the game live on Country 103-7 The Gator starting at 1:55 pm.
