Gator softball travels to face Florida State
After coming off a series sweep of the South Carolina Gamecocks, the Florida Gator softball team hits the road Wednesday to face Florida State. With three wins last weekend against South Carolina, the Gators now have an overall record of 36-4. It will be no easy task beating the Seminoles on Wednesday night; the Noles are coming into the game at 33-9 on the year. Florida coach Tim Walton says the Seminoles are a very well-rounded team and have a great pitching staff. “They are a good team, one of the best pitchers in the country and a great staff. They graduated quite a few seniors but have a really good offensive dynamic. They are a very balanced team, score a lot of runs and their bullpen has been pitching well.” Walton also mentioned the significance of the FSU-UF rivalry. “As always, Florida-Florida State is important.
