Donovan Introduced As New OKC Coach

Former Gator men’s basketball coach Billy Donovan was formally introduced Friday as the new coach of the NBA’s Oklahoma City Thunder.

The Thunder team was on hand for the one hour press conference as were people like Oklahoma State coach Travis Ford and Oklahoma coacn and former Gator coach Lon Kruger.

Donovan did not give many specifics as to the make up of his new staff. He will probably return to Oklahoma City next week to begin to get to know some of his new players.

Meanwhile, Florida athletic director Jeremy Foley told ESPN’s Andy Katz that it could take 2-3 weeks to name a successor to Donovan at Florida.
