According to the arrest report, Porter fired a gun at his girlfriend who is ten weeks pregnant. The Gainesville Police Department released another report where Porter was contacted on September 30th. The shooting incident was not reported to GPD at this point.

The bad news for the Florida Gators continues as red-shirt freshman defensive back Deiondre Porter was arrested on four felony charges and a misdemeanor this Wednesday afternoon. Porter is facing charges of aggravated battery, two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon without intent, firing weapon into dwelling, and property damage. He was booked in to the Alachua County Jail on Wednesday morning at 11:19 a.m.

Florida Head Coach Jim McElwain said Porter will be suspended indefinitely while this situation plays out.
Porter has played in four games this season mostly on special teams, but he did see action at corner versus Tennessee. He has recorded two tackles on the season.
