Price Beats Yanks For Rays In MLB Action

Tampa Bay’s David Price won his American League best eighth game as the Rays beat the New York Yankees 7-3 Thursday night.

In other American League action, Boston got a complete game shutout from Clay Buchholz to down Baltimore 7-9; Chicago nips Toronto 4-3; Detroit stops Cleveland 7-5; and Oakland hammers Texas 7-1.

In the National League, Jason Heyward homers twice to help Atlanta down Miami 8-2 to complete a three game sweep.   In other NL action, Pittsburgh nips Cincinnati 5-4; Milwaukee downs Chicago 4-3; New York’s R.A. Dickey wins his ninth game as the Mets beat Washington 3-1; Los Angeles sweeps Philadelphia with an 8-3 win; San Francisco tops San Diego 8-3 and St.Louis rips Houston 14-2.
