
NFL PREVIEW: Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. New Orleans Saints
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers (6-6) will host the New Orleans Saints (4-8) in Week 14 of the NFL Sunday. The Buccaneers have a lot of momentum after sweeping Atlanta Falcons for the first time since 2007 with a win last week. The Saints lead the series between the two with a 29-18 record.
Rookies quarterback Jameis Winston continues to play at a high level for the Bucs by dominating the red zone and scoring 17 touchdowns and has yet to throw an interception in the red zone. Bucs coach Lovie Smith says his high energy on the sideline pumps the team up for victory.
Bucs running back Doug Martin has also helped the number two ranked rushing offense run for 1,133 yards to date this season.
Smith believes the team is right In the mix and all they need to do it go out and make plays.
The Saints are coming off of a 41-38 loss against the undefeated Panthers. Tight end Ben Watson has been a key target for quarterback Drew Brees this season and the two connected for a 14-yard touchdown in their loss. One of Brees’ favorite targets, Brandin Cooks also caught a 54-yard touchdown pass in the game against Carolina but an injury in that game may cause him to miss this game against the Bucs. He is a game time decision.
Kickoff is set for 1:00 p.m. Sunday at Raymond James Stadium.
