  • In a much anticipated matchup in the NBA, the Miami Heat sinks the Los Angeles Lakers 98-87 Thursday in Miami. A big night for LeBron James with 31 points.
  • Jacksonville Jaguars new head coach Mike Mularkey is close to filling his new staff; he’s hired Greg Olson as quarterbacks coach and Tony Oden to be the secondary coach. Former Gator coach Ron Zook is interviewing and could be named the special teams coordinator in the next few days.
  • Former Gator golfer Camilio Villegas is tied for the lead after the first round of the PGA event being held this week in California; Villegas shot a nine under par 63.
