Morris Fired As Bucs Coach; Spagnuolo Let Go By Rams

January 3, 2012

“Black Monday” hit the NFL with two head coaches losing their jobs.

The Tampa Bay Bucs fired coach Raheem Morris after three seasons and the St.Louis Rams did the same to their third year head coach Steve Spagnuolo.

The Indianapolis Colts part ways with team vice chairman Bill Polian and his son, general manager Chris Polian. At this time, coach Jim Caldwell is still on the job despite a two win season in 2011.

Former Gator assistant coach George Edwards was fired by Buffalo head coach Chan Gailey, also a former Gator. Edwards was the team defensive coordinator and he will be replaced by veteran coach Dave Wannstadt.
