Magic Secure 128-102 Win Over Pistons

Jalen Suggs led an Orlando Magic team that had eight players in double figures. Suggs put together 18 points in their 128-102 rout of the Detroit Pistons.

Cole Anthony dropped 17 with six rebounds and Franz Wagner had 16 with eight assists and three steals.

Paolo Banchero shared 14 points with Wendell Carter Jr. (nine rebounds and three assists), Goga Bitadze dropped 13 and Mo Wagner shared 11 with Markelle Fultz.

Killian Hayes led Detroit with 20 points and 7 assists with Eugene Omoruyi scoring 19. The Pistons have now lost 20 of their last 21 games, needing one win from their remaining schedule to avoid matching their worst season record in franchise history.

The Magic shot 57.3% from field goal range, making 17 of 33 three-pointers. The Magic are facing not making the playoffs for the ninth time in 11 seasons. Orlando looks to finish their season strong, winning five of their last six.

The Pistons kept the game close, 34-29 after the first quarter. But a 23-4 run in the second quarter (five each for Suggs and Anthony) gave Orlando a 24-point lead. The Pistons’ eight turnovers contributed to Orlando’s run.

The Magic (34-44) have a 12-win improvement from last year (22-60), the best record improvement in the East.
