The Miami Dolphins travel to Los Angeles to face the Chargers Sunday. The Dolphins are coming off a nice season where they made the playoffs for the first times in seven years, while the Chargers believe they have the pieces around Justin Herbert to get to the promised land.

Quarterback Tua Tagovailoa is coming off an injury plagued season where he missed some playing time. If he can stay healthy and with some key additions to the team, the Dolphins hope to compete in the tough AFC East.
Needed depth
The Dolphins have to be able to set the edge on the defensive side of the ball and keep Austin Ekeler from running wild. The Chargers will try and run the ball and set the tone for the game. If the Dolphins can keep the run game for the Chargers under control then they will have a better chance to get the upset on the road. The Dolphins were 18th in the league last year in rushing yards allowed at 103.0 per game. They have to be better at stopping the run, that is where they struggled the most in games a year ago.

Keys to the game
This game could down to the line of scrimmage because both teams are coming seasons in which offensive line play was suspect at times with the Dolphins ranking 25th in rushing last year and the Chargers 30th. Both teams are going to want to shore up the question marks on their offensive lines.
Pressuring the quarterbacks could also be key in the game. Both teams were middle of the pack teams in this department a year ago.
