Tigers Get Back In ALCS With Win Over Rangers
The Detroit Tigers climbed back into the American League Championship Series hunt with a 5-2 win over the Texas Rangers on Tuesday night in Detroit.
Miguel Cabrera doubled and homered and youngster Doug Fister again pitched well at home as the Tigers now trail the series two games to one. Game 4 is this afternoon in Detroit as Matt Harrison pitches for Texas against Rick Porcello.
The National League Championship Series is tied at one game apiece with Game 3 today in St.Louis as the Cardinals host the Milwaukee Brewers. Chris Carpenter pitches for St.Louis and Yovani Gallardo pitches for the Brewers.
