Gator Volleyball And Soccer Get Wins

Both the Gator volleyball and soccer teams are celebrating victories today.

The 13th ranked Gator volleyball team sweeps LSU at home to improve to 13-3 overall and to 6-1 in SEC play. LSU leads the SEC West and the match pitted the league’s two best defensive teams against each other but on this day Florida was the better defensive team and the better overall team.

In soccer, Florida downs Alabama 4-1 as the 11th ranked Gators improve to 12-3 overall and to 5-1 in SEC play. Alabama struck first in the match but Florida did all the rest of the scoring as the Gators now prepare for a road trip starting Friday at Ole Miss.
