Florida Gymnastics Secures Top-10 Road Meet at Georgia

February 20, 2026

No. 4 Florida gymnastics found redemption on the road, defeating No. 6 Georgia 197.575-197.325 for its first top-10 road win this season. The Gators narrowly notched their first victory in February after losing two straight against Missouri and Oklahoma.

Sophomore Skye Blakely made her long-awaited collegiate all-around debut, ending with a 39.225. She began on bars with a 9.65, messing up on a handstand but sticking the landing to end the routine strong.

Her performances on vault and floor were strong with scores of 9.875 and 9.85, respectively. This was her first competitive vault appearance since 2024. However, she had yet another mistake on beam but made it look effortless to record a 9.85.

Senior Selena Harris-Miranda secured the all-around title in Athens. She notched 9.9s on bars and vault and a 9.75 on floor before ending the meet with a 9.95 on beam to win the event title.

The No. 1 bar team in the country, Florida stuck 5 of 6 landings to record a 49.425. Junior Kayla DiCello posted a 9.95 to tie her season high and win the event title.

The Gators’ past vault struggles diminished, as they matched bars and tied their season-high (49.425) on the apparatus.

The GymDogs made it close throughout, tying at 98.85 a piece after two rotations. However, Georgia had to count scores of 9.675 and 9.725 on beam due to a fall in the leadoff spot.

From then on, Florida showed consistency to produce its seventh-straight regular-season win over the Bulldogs, recording a 49.3 and 49.425 on floor and beam, respectively.

“This team is fully and totally capable of executing well,” Gators coach Jenny Rowland said. “So really just being relaxed, being mindful, being present and executing four events altogether in one meet. Gators are ready.”

Florida continues its road stint with a quad meet at Texas Women’s University with Arizona State and Fisk next Friday at 8 p.m.
