March 2, 2026

After starting the season off strong atop of the Road to Nationals rankings, Gators gymnastics continues to sit at number four as the season’s end is quickly approaching.

Floria produced its third highest total of the season (197.7) to win Friday’s quad meet with Arizona State and Fisk at Texas Woman’s University.

The Gators won three of the events. Junior Danie Ferris claimed her first floor exercise win with a score of 9.925.

Sophomore Skye Blakely got Florida’s first 10.0 of the season on beam and a 9.975 on bars to take both wins.

“Just seeing the score I was just so shocked, so excited,” Blakely said. “That’s my dream to get a 10 in college. To do it here and have all the girls just be supporting and happy for me.”

The Gators performed exceptionally on beam, scoring a school-record 49.8,the second-highest for the event in NCAA history.

“The beam lineup tonight was on fire,” coach Jenny Rowland said. “Really great job. They look super calm, confident, collected and really just performed what they do in practice on a daily basis.”

The two lowest event scores for the Gators were a 48.875 on vault and 49.425 on floor, while the two highest were on beam and on bars (49.6).

Florida remains the No. 1 team in the country on bars and No. 2 on beam going into the second-to-last week of the regular season. The Gators fell from No. 10 to No. 12 on vault and rose from eighth to seventh on floor.

Florida prepares to take on the No. 2 LSU Tigers in the O’Dome on Sunday for Senior Night, celebrating Lori Brubach, eMjae Frazier, Selena Harris-Miranda and Riley McCusker.
